Translation services – Requirements for translation Services

ISO 17100:2015 requires the existence of a Management System that includes principles and management requirements regarding processes, minimum certification requirements, availability and management of resources and other actions necessary to provide quality translation services. The standard does not include interpretation services.

ISO 17100:2015 EN

Typically 3-6 months implementation, although the time depends on many parameters. An important parameter is for the company to be able to demonstrate that the Management System is fully implemented and meets the requirements of the standard. The level of commitment and involvement of Senior Management and employees is critical in determining the time required for certification.

No. ISO 17100:2015 is a voluntary certification aimed at continuous improvement and does not replace government audits. Nevertheless, it organizes the business to prevent and meet legislative requirements by acting proactively and avoiding fines.
